About the company
Our well known and respected client is a leading not-for-profit organisation working across multiple states providing residential and community care, support to families, people with disability, financially disadvantaged people and asylum seekers.
About the role
The Data and BI Developer is responsible for the overall Development and Maintenance of Business Intelligence Data Software and Programs used to supply Reporting of Data to users and Management. The Developer will partner with Technical groups to ensure that Data pipeline is not hindered and performance standards adhere to service level agreements set with the enterprise.
Skills & Experience
Database Reporting and Management experience
Experience in MS SQL Server, Reporting Services, Analysis Services & Integration Services
Experience in SQL Server in VMWare Environment
Experience in implementing a replicated disaster recovery environment
Strong logical and analytical thinker
Attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
In-depth knowledge of SQL
Responsibilities
To develop and maintain a competent understanding of front-end applications which are used to collect, display, alter or store data.
Collect, collate and reimagine large datasets as directed, produce base SQL scripts performing all CRUD operations and produce ad-hoc reports in the appropriate tool as the needs arise.
Produce database active-packages as needed using the relevant available technologies; stored procedures, MS SSIS, MS SAAS, Azure Data Factory, etc.
Contribute to the management of database related software and hardware upgrades.
Develop and maintain a competent understanding of Visual Studio 2017 (BI) and some understanding of managing VS Solutions in TFS.
Adhere to general industry technology standards and specific internal standards.
Provide documentation when necessary, including flow-diagrams, database models and other artefacts as appropriate.
Be available second level support via phone support or other communication methods as required and particularly during peak data collection activities.
Other duties as required by the Executive Director.
