Our Not for Profit client has an immediate need to boost the Systems and Network Administration (365 Cloud) Team with 2 competent permanent resources. You will be creative and passionate about Technology and able to Support and Administer, Patch, Upgrade Tin and Tools (if need be). We are happy to consider a blunt fringe, bike rider, slightly awkward op shopper and an “egoless” person happy to get on with the job without any fuss …. ! Systems Administrator Responsibilities – the important part

Cloud/Systems Engineer – Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Virtualisation

Windows Server and Infrastructure (On-prem and cloud) – AD & AAD, DNS, DHCP, etc
Microsoft Azure cloud IaaS, Paas
Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
Virtualisation (on-premise) Provisioning, Orchestration – Hyper-V & VMWare, including Reporting
Backup
Patching
Microsoft 365 (cloud) – Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive

Do work that makes a difference – more fluffy, but still important

Technology is an inherent part of enabling our client’ policy and operational objectives. With the organisation depending upon their systems being secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the client’s Information Technology department, and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with a most critical core IT platform.

Your team

Within the Information Technology department, you will be part of a collaborative team of Administrators and Engineers actively working across projects and BAU rollouts, to transform and develop the core IT functions that support the client’s policy, operational and corporate objectives.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, and working closely with other Senior / Administrators, this is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of a high performing team, working alongside experienced people who are passionate about protecting the security and stability of the Technology estate. Our client is innovative and strongly believes in delivering value and efficiency through their work.

Your background

We are currently seeking strong experience with Cloud / Azure / 365 PowerShell / PowerApps Intune DHCP IaaS and Hyper-V, with a passion for strong problem solving skills.

To be successful in this critical role you will:

Be a champion and or ready to embrace implementing infrastructure as code and be a catalyst within your team to help accelerate the journey
You are expected to embrace and help take your team from manual builds and maintenance to efficient and effective automation and orchestration in collaboration with other infrastructure teams
Strong knowledge of virtualisation Technologies (VMware) is desirable
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and/or Microsoft Windows Server operating system is a key
Solid experience in the build and security hardening of server operating systems
Good communication skills and the ability to lead innovations and Technical improvements and ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks
Relevant degree qualifications
