About the company

Our well known and respected client is a leading not-for-profit organisation working across multiple states providing residential and community care, support to families, people with disability, financially disadvantaged people and asylum seekers.

About the role

The database administrator is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of information databases used to operate the infrastructure and technology platform. The administrator will partner with technical groups to ensure that database performance is not hindered and performance standards adhere to service level agreements set with the enterprise.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in MS SQL Server, Reporting Services, Analysis Services & Integration Services.
  • Experience in SQL Server in VMWare Environment
  • Experience in implementing a replicated disaster recovery environment.
  • Experience in designing and build in ‘starjoin’ data warehouse, including ETL from applications
  • Strong logical and analytical thinker
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to find root causes of problems and quickly determines efficient solutions
  • Can anticipate risks and mitigate in the moment
  • Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL

Must Have

  • ITIL Certification
  • Over 7 years of experience in designing and implementing database structures, automating DBA tasks, data modeling, and schema design
  • Microsoft/Oracle Certifications
  • In depth understanding of Cloud/Infrastructure Architecture
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science or similar.
